Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriporn Sasimontonkul earned a Ph.D. in Biomechanics from Oregon State University and a M.Sc. in Exercise Physiology from Mahidol University. She established the faculty of Sports Science, Kasetsart University and served as the first dean since 2006. Asst.Prof. Siriporn has also established graduate curriculums in Sports Science, Athletic Training and Movement Science. She has interested in the impact of loads on bone health and bone injuries. In addition, she has also conducted many researches to explore the effect of exercise to prevent NCD and inflammatory disease. Currently, Asst.Prof. Siriporn has been the Dean of the faculty of Sports Science at Kasetsart University, Bangkok.

Asst.Prof. Siriporn has conducted many activities to promote healthy living of people of all age group. She hosted several workshops related to risk assessment and occupational health for the ministry of health. She also evaluated the injury risks of farmers and workers to establish the guideline for reducing the risks. Moreover, she has also been one of the committee who established physical activity guideline for people of all age and specific career such as the farmer.

She hosted many workshops related to exercise for disease prevention and rehabilitation especially cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. Currently, she runs the healthy village project to educate community using exercise as a tool for disease prevention and rehabilitation.

Asst. Prof. Siriporn hosted and has been speakers of many international conferences. Recently, she was the organizing chair of the 8th Asia – Pacific Conference on Exercise and Sports Science 2017 and the 7th International Conference on Sports and Exercise Science, Bangkok. Over 250 participants from 25 countries shared their research findings and ideas for implementation of healthy living and sustainability for people and communities. http://apcess2017.kasetsart.org/
