Mrs. Shashini Anushka Wickramarachchi is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Education at the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. She obtained her BSc (Honours) in Physical Education from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and completed her MSc in Physical Education at Universiti Putra Malaysia with excellent academic standing. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.  Her research focuses on physical activity and health, sedentary behaviour, physical education pedagogy, and sports performance analysis. Mrs. Wickramarachchi has been involved in several research studies examining physical activity patterns, athlete performance characteristics, and health-related exercise interventions. She has published and presented numerous research papers and abstracts in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals in sports science and physical education. Mrs. Wickramarachchi is actively engaged in professional service and international academic collaboration. She currently serves as an Executive Member of the Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS) and as a member of the Sri Lanka Cricket Food and Supplement Protocol Development Committee (2025–2026). She also contributes to sports officiating as a Sri Lanka Netball B Grade Umpire. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she serves as a Visiting Lecturer at the National Institute of Education, Sri Lanka, and CSBM Campus, contributing to the development of sports education and teacher training. She also served as the Chair of the International Conference of Applied Sports (ICAS) 2025, an international platform that promotes research collaboration and knowledge exchange in sports science and physical education. Through her academic, research, and professional engagements, Mrs. Wickramarachchi continues to contribute to the advancement of sports science, physical education, and athlete development in Sri Lanka and the Asian region.
